Drill bit for expanding a hole in fibreglass - what is is called?
Dangle_kt - 8/12/08 at 03:13 PM

I watched a race car is born ages ago and mark uses a drill bit that is like a ball of sandpaper to expand a small hole in fibreglass so it lines up.

Its called a Dibbler or Dobbler or something...

Can anyone tell me the proper name so I can buy one please?

Thank you.

I just used the sandpaper attachment for my dremmel. It eats fibreglass very quickly...

Works very quickly and is surprisingly neat.

I think you are referring to a rotary rasp bit like so -

I use to have a pressed steel one which was cheap but worked very well

Cheers guys - helpful as always!

Don't forget - if you're going to be sanding GRP, make sure you've got a dust mask and goggles...

...GRP dust is 'orrible!
