Crikey that's a big title! May I suggest trying again in the engine part?

Thats just the standard 2.0 cortina bracket isn't it ??

(at least there was one on my cortina engine, and the granada EFi engines had some big heavy steel things)

I've used a Lucas alternator from a Series 3 Landrover in my Tiger Avon. you can buy them NEW at 22.80 plus VAT . These are not reconditioned units that will pack up in two years, they are brand new units.

I have a similar problem!

I think i may need a new bracket and a smaller alternator to squeeze mine in there!

How big is the landrover one?

I don't know where Paddock get their cheap alternators but they are not the best. A mate of mine had 3 pack up on him one after the other about a week after installing them. Paddock did replace them and did appologise but not something i would use!

I have a Micra alternator on a home made bracket to leave space for steering bits!
