Low lift jack what are your thoughts
What do you all think the quality of this will be like?
40 quid for a low trolley jack.

My first thoughts are it's too cheap for a good quality jack, plus sockets, LEDs etc etc. I'd expect it to break easily.

40 quid is far more than i paid for my halfords jack a few years ago. It seems to high the plus points we all want - although i'd only ever lift
a seven on it - wouldn't like to test out the full weight capacity.
Does the german TUV give us any confidence or is it like ISO 9000 - aka "we do what we say, so pray we don't say we're
cr&p"

Has anyone ever thought about making a paddock stand type jack, that you just fit under the chassis and push down to lift up
i can't fit anything under mine without taking the nose off

To lift the front of my car high, I have to use a small tintop scissor jack first to get it high enough for the trolley jack
Alternatively I do have a pair of ramps and wheel chocks

wot's the price of a MMart equivalent?
what are the odds of the LEDs being crush by the fouth time you have used it?
biu it, assume it will fial by using axle stands, wooden blocks etc until you can trush it.
obviouls, as with any jack, regardless of price or quality, you never stick your neck out without some additional support.

Looks good for the cash, TUV testing is done to a higher standard than over here.
its not like you're lifting that much weight with it either.

Being a Bat F'stard.... I use a SMALL set of ramps. They are home made and work fairly well. I can then access most parts of the car I need to.

Them jacks look like the ones at costco and are very very heavy

The LEDs looks like a gimmick that won't last long, but I like the idea as it can be difficult to see under cars when positioning jacks.
I also like the fact you can clip the handle to the jack; mine often seem to get parted from their jacks somehow and I end up using a breaker bar or
similar to jack the car up!

13kg, certainly not light, but I'd rather a cheap heavy steel jack than those nasty alloy abortions that cost double this.

Yes, I've made one of those paddock stands. I use it all the time!
I'm going to make another one in the next few weeks! (not that I need two, I just fancy making a really lightweight one!)

That's why they put wheels on them The leds look a bit of a gimmick but if it works it's well worth the money.

That costco one looks the virtually the same. Theres no costco near me though
I need a low one as my car is now too low for my trolley jack.
May give the ebay one a chance. Just have to measure im not sure 80mm is low enough.
