Halfords - tool chest deal

Was £110

£45 only on Christmas day - reserve it for pick up or order online.

£45.

Halfords Tool Chest

Seems a fair deal to me.
I got the price wrong at first.
There's another fiver off when you order online, so the bottom line is £45.

If it's a good as it looks that's gotta be a bargain.
You can pay that for a plastic tool box

I've got one of the top chests. Lasted a couple of years but the bottom tray has given up (probably due to the stupid loads I keep putting in it), but then it only cost me £25.

Looks nice but what's wrong with the garage floor? You know where everything is then. Also if everything is neatly stored in a trolled with wheels it's just asking for someone to break in and push it home with them.

think you'll find this is the one without runners on the drawers, they just sit on top of the frame metal to metal.

Save up for the one with ball bearing runners- it's worth it !

I reserved one very early this morning as I've been in the garage all last week and probably next week. I'll spray the guides thoroughly with PTFE just in case though.

None left in stock at my local Halfraud's
However, they've also got the 'professional' cabinet (ball-bearing drawer runners) on sale for £199 and it includes the 7-drawer top chest for free! (that's a saving of £150!!)
So I've just reserved one of them on-line instead.
Or, if you're really flush, for £299 you can get the industrial quality cabinet and free matching top chest (which is a saving of some £280 !!) which has got to be a massive bargain!!
Reading the reviews, does seem to match the quality of supposed more expensive cabinets such as brittool, and maybe even snap-on!

I've just been and picked mine up, last one in the shop so it was built as a display one.

Excellent quality for 45 quid! Runners on all the drawers and catches on the bottom doors. Well built too, although as the halfords monkeys assembled mine ill be checking the bolts!

Clarke do a similar one too - For the prices its a steal, but as said above no runner on the drawers.

Ive had mine for a couple of years and it does a fine job!
