Harness bolt to ring adaptor thing

Any reason not to just use a a harness eye bolt and clip directly to it?

They're going in the MX5 and I want to retain the original seat belts and then "clip" in the harnesses when I get on the track.
There's not enough room for eyes each side of the seats.
