Escort Axle - Actuating rubbers
Hi all, I did post in the general but didn't see the harm in posting a wanted request also.
I am after 2 of the rubbers that seal the exit of the handbrake actuating lever from the drum backplate. Mine have perished a bit, but I can't
find anyone that has any stock of these?
Pic below - any pointers would be great,
Cheers
Rich

Sorry that's a little large isn't it, If I work out how to re-size at work I will.

Thanks again

According to Capri Spares they are in fact much rarer than hen's teeth. one pair of dirty s/hand ones went for £16+ on ebay last week.
I think I may consider trying to make some.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Can't take the credit, somebody asked about brake adjusters on the boardroom the other day and the site link came from a knowledgable bloke on
there (the searchmeister).

The part you are after is a wheel cylinder fitting kit Comes complete with the 2 circlips that hold the cylinder to the back plate Southwest Scimparts
list them for a Scimitar which may? be the same part . Also IIRC Triumph Herald/ Spitfire/GT6 used Girling rear wheel cylinders that used the same
fitting kit. Plenty of Triumph specialists about that may list them Ritters etc

Who knows? Ordered a set anyway on the off chance.
Edit: Oops, just realised, they are no good for you.
I have Capri drums on my Escort axle for some reason and they look like they will do for me. Sorry.
