Clutch Centre CBR1000
Just occurred to me, I've not asked around on here...
I owe one of these..
Clutch Center
Fixing nut (#15) needs to be bi-hexagonal fitted on FK models onwards.
Anyone got one in scraper?

Jeez! It's the nut? I thought it was the big red bit!!! Nut will definately be less from a main dealer or D.Silver spares.....
Those mofos are held on tight. Paying someone to remove an old isn't worth it........ I managed to destroy mine removing it on the ST1100 (which
I must admit has an extremely similar clutch basket mechanism)....

Yes - after the big red bit! <cough!>.
(apologies if anyones colour blind!)
Mentioned the nut as that is an easy way of telling that the centre is the one Im after.
My spare engine is an earlier model and the nut and centre are, typically!, different
.. and yes the nut is 2 quid new. its dinked on - but if your careful, you can drill the dink out and get it off! (that probably only makes sense to
anyone who has removed one of these)
anyway... the big red centre bit...???

as far as holding it all in place and undoing the nut - dont bother with the Mr Haynes tip of two bits of metal rod made into a clamp!!
If the nuts jammed on - that just buckled and knackers the outer basket.
A "Ben Marriott special" device (gash clutch separation plates, bolted together and a handle to grip), along with lots of sweat, swearing
and an impact wrench does the trick!
