Polo rad

Just did another running test with my new improved (secondhand) Rover 25 pressurised heade tank... and found that the s/hand Polo radiator has a slight leak.

From other threads I have found some suppliers, but before I buy new, does anyone have a spare one going begging?

Alternatively, where has the best price? I need the small one (core c. 32cm high x 38cm wide, overall width c. 47cm). The best I found do far is German, Swedish and French, for c. £55 incl VAT and P&P - seems reasonable

I got mine from AB Performance. (Tel. 01284 703101)

From memory, it was £40 plus delivery (circa. £48 all in.)

He's a nice guy and delivery is usually very quick.

Andy.

...BTW, I'm looking for a suitable pressurised header tank.
Have you got a pick of your Rover 25 tank showing the outlets?
I've done a search on ebay and found one (pic below) is this the same as yours and how have you 'modified' yours?

Thanks,
Andy. Rescued attachment c4_1_b.jpeg

This is my expansion tank - looks the same as the one you have pictured. I didn't modify the tank itself, because I am using and ex-Rover 25 K series engine - just connected the hoses as originally.

Had to make a bracket thingy, though, because there was no room on the bulkhead without a lot of hassle moving stuff Rescued attachment New expansion tank.jpg

i have just got to this stage and we are debating on which is top and bottom hose i think that the one from the top back of engine is the bottom hose and the one off the thermostat, pump is the top with the header tank small one on the block is this how you have done yours got the infoHERE

The top connector comes from a t-piece (same as Rover 25 installation) - 1 from radiator (small bore, what I would call the overflow tube) and 1 from the front of the engine. The bottom connector is bigger, about heater hose size, and goes back to a tube on the right of the engine opposite the exhaust.

Not sure if that helps?
