Link ECU USB lead...
The current project came with a plug'n'play Link ECU.
According to their blurb each one comes with its own USB lead but the previous owner says he didn't receive one.
Contact with the UK distributors has met with a wall of indifference and Link themselves reckon it will cost the thick end of £100 to ship one from
New Zealand.
According to No2 son (qualified electronics engineer) it's no more than a 20 minute job to make one.
So does anyone have one for sale or can let me borrow one so we can make up our own?
Thanks in anticipation.
Cheers, Pewe10

Could be a silly question, but what does it look like? Any images on manufacturer's website?
I guess it is not a standard USB cable of any type? What 'ends' does it have?

IIRC female, 6 pin, round approx. 8mm diam, turns and locks onto the male, casing has LTW on it.
T'other end must be std USB.
Any suggestions welcome.

The only thing I have foudn that may be of use is the following image from a Link manual:
You may be able to buy a USB to RS232 converter and modify it.

I have a mate that knows quite a bit about these ECU's. He will have a cable and I will be able to get the wiring details for you so if you
still need a lead let me know

Thanks for the help guys - much appreciated.
Strontium Dog a wiring diag from your mate would be fantastic.
Whilst asking him does he know anything about the mapping for a 1.6 MX5 s/c - long-shot but you never know?
