Wtd - Trailer parts
Hello all
I need a set of trailer parts if anybody has got any please.
Tow hitch
Suspension units c/w hubs and wheels
Lights
I would consider a knackered old trailer so long as the parts on it were ok for me to strip off.
Over to the group
Cheers
Rob

Yes, I've had a look at them - they seem rather expensive for what they are.
I thought I'd ask on here first before going down that route.

Caravan chassis gets you a hitch, suspension and brakes, no lights but around £50 with wheels.

Buy new. The best thing I ever did was buy a Brian James trailer new. They just work and keep on working.
I had enough to do without farting about with a trailer bearing/autoreverse/lights etc etc.
Dear but worth every penny. I went to the factory to pick it up ans was most impresses with the tour. The laser cutter on use was awesome.
Cheers!
You'd be surprised how quickly the sales people at B&Q try and assist you after ignoring you for the past 15 minutes when you try and start a

Great idea - I had a look on eBay but they're all miles away from me - any ideas where else I could get one ?

Thanks - but far too good for what I want.
To expand a bit - I'm making a log splitter that will be towable - so in effect the components - engine, pump, ram slide etc will be the trailer
- therefore I just need the trailer components to fit to the splitter parts - hope that makes sense.

Hi Joel
Either would do - it doesn't need to be braked due to the weight.
With the above post in mind I'm guessing your trailers may be too expensive - unless you got one thats in need of body type repair. It would the
rolling chassis I needed.
You can U2U details if you don't want to post up here.
Thanks
Rob

I have in the garage a trailer that is just a T shaped piece of 2" box, with all components essentially new and unused. A pressed steel 750kgs
hitch, a pair of 750kgs unbraked suspensions, and 3 alloy wheels with new tyres. For your purposes, you would just need to cut the tee to size and its
ready to go, obviously would need lights.

Any good to you?
As you can see, one hub has a snapped stud and the other has a flat worn into it where a stud should live. I was going to weld a lug to the hub for
the missing stud. I wouldn't reuse the bearings as they are about £8 a set but the tyres look usable. The cobwebs will need to be replaced as
thay got damaged when I uncovered the parts.
Let me know either way as now I've dug them out, if you don't want them, I'll build something to fit them to!
Cheers, Owelly.
