convert rear brakes from drum to discs?
what do i need to convert the rear drums from a sierra to a disc setup.
please!!!
what do i need and does anyone have any?

First of all you need to turn down your drive flanges to 134mm. then you buy some adapter brackets from 3GE components for £18.00
Then you buy some Sierra disks from Ebay £40
and some calipers of your choice - works out to be about half the cost that RD charge

Is there much point upgrading to discs?
In theory they are better, but in a light car like a 7 are there any real benefits?

Not many apart from looking pretty and much easier maintanance/set up.

Use a Ghia as the donor then you get rear discs as standard

You can see the pads easily to check wear, and you can change them much easier by undoing one bolt!
Much easier than trying to pull off a drum and then taking apart the adjuster mechanism/springs and then rebuilding!!
