my daily (2.0 Zetec Focus) has killed the thermostat housing. i think its fairly common on these at the moment, a couple of friends with them have had the same issue.
anyway, anyone got one??

I don't have one but mine went and turned out to be a ford only part (£50 trade) where the rubber seal is onto the head was cracked and a chunk missing out of the housing!! 1.8, 2000 reg mine is.

Folks,

there are differences between the silvertop and blacktop thermostat housings. Specifically around thread sizes for the sensors.

In a kit application this may not matter. However in a tin top, you need to make sure it's the right housing for your car.

Focus engine will be blacktop....
