sva bonnet catches

has anyone got any of the rubber sva bonnet catches laying around need 4, that they want some money for as just need them for sva and they may fall off and get replaced afterwards

CBS sell these for £19 + postage.

I have one pair, £ 10 inc postage. If interested, they are yours.

If not, then take a look at my post about bonnect catches. I got the hooked/spring type and used D-section rubber cut and folding in a cunning way that passed SVA.

If yours are the same, I may have the bits of rubber ready to fit and send to you.

Or else can cut some of the rubber for you to try to make your own; just would be asking a few pennies for postage.

found them:

spring type catch

Rubber strip cut to shape

rubber strps


And fitted, SVA friendly, and yes the man did have a feel
cover fitted
cover fitted


the eagle-eyed will spot that the covered catch is the smaller type, not the longer spring type - but the same principle applies - both were done using this D rubber.

looks good havent got any yet but after test i plan on putting some stainless ones on so was going to put rubber ones on first then get something nice

yes interested in the sva ones you have will save a bit of money at least if there not going to be one for long (can always sell afterwards)

If your still looking for some I think ( will check later ) that I have two pairs of rubber catches from CBS that have not been used. If I can find them their yours for just£5 If you are at Newark show.
