Looks a bit like a Vindicator

Cymtriks, am I right in thinking that the design is for a longitudinal engine? if so what sort of box and engine are you considering.

Looks Nice,

Nope, transverse.

The bonnet is slightly higher than a traditional Seven at around 30.5 inches. The round bulge over the engine is about 33 inches. My Zetec 1.6 is 31.5 inches to the top of the block and it runs on bigger tyres than I'd use for the car above. Given the size of accessories etc it might fit.

A smaller car engine would fit but a lower line might easily be possible with bike power.

Front suspension is by push rods with the springs running flat above the occupants legs.

Cycle wings are used at all corners and there are only four moldings, the front, the engine cover, the rear wheel wings and the front wheel wings.

I don't think it looks like a Vindicator at all!!!

What rear uprights, bespoke ones?
Could it accomodate a K Series, then a MGF could be used as a almost single donor etc.

MGF would be a fair choice.

Other options include-
Elise (expensive)
MX5 (another good choice, bound to be a few at the breakers)
S2000 (expensive perhaps?)

I did think about bespoke ones or perhaps a modified FWD Ford upright.

Went and looked at the Costin Chassis and body advertised in the For Sale section this morning.

Chassis looks pretty good, lots of triangulation not symetrical though but quite complex looking. Body looks a lot better than in the pictures, rather Porsche like to me, he also had a MGTF there to show the bits that can be donored.

But all the wishbones and de dion are bespoke, front uprights are vauxhall,

Still pondering wants 3K for a bare chassis and complete body, but can have one straight away.

Its a tricky one really as he reckons being a Costin will make it worth more than a kit, dependant on build, showed me an ad in this months Motorsport for a Costin for sale £89k!!, plus car designed immediatly before this one went on to become Panos Roadster, all a bit much to take in.
Anyone else seen this?

Can you imagine turning up to buy a tatty elise and telling the seller, "it dont matter mate im using it as a donor"
