Before I fork out for a new shock to replace my crash ruined item I thought I'd check if anyone has anything.

Looking for a pair of double adjustables either 10.5" or 11" preferably 2.25" Dia with 1/2" spherical bearings. Shocktec, Protec, Nitron etc etc

It's a long shot I know but U2U if you have anything.

These any good to you? Not much travel if you are using it as a road car.

Ooooh Penske. Have you got size deets and a price?

Hi

They may not be quite right for you. At work at the moment so I do not have the measurements to hand but they are about 12" open. That could be changed by changing the top mount but not that easily as the adjuster screw is extended to match the top mounts fitted. Travel is 60-75mm or so with no bump stop (plenty for a track car but not a lot for the road). Sphericals are probably smaller than 1/2" but I could machine you up spacers. I paid £225 for these and would like to get my money back (I have not used them). If I recall correctly they are single adjustable but you could upgrade them in particular by finding double adjustable reservoir tops . They are in reasonable but not perfect external condition.

The great thing about penske shocks is that you can take them to bits yourself. Every combination of shim in the world can be grabbed from the internet. These are 2" bodies so by far the commonest.

I probably could shorten the adjuster screw or make a new one. In fact I have a pile of penske bits as I have there all round on my car - if you are interested I will have a look.

£225 each or for the pair? To be honest I think they are a little too far from what I have to make it viable. Thanks for the help though

The pair! You are probably right it, it would require a bit of thought to get them right. I did make new tops for the ones I use - it was good fun but a lot of work.

I do have a box of others - I will have a look and see if anything is exactly the spec you need.
