Hey,
I could be interested, how much would you charge postage and would the track rod ends fit my Cortina MK 5 hubs?
I have a knackered mk2 rack and need a new one....

Hello,
The postage would be £12.
The sierra track rods I don't believe fit the Cortina hubs but I also have a pair of rs2000 type track rods (new) that I believe do fit,
it's worth checking to be sure
I bought the rs2000 track rods from Rally Design and there part number is RD819
Cheers

Hi David.
I'm keen, can I check Friday and let you know? What thread does the rack have as my current knackered one has track rods fitted but can't
remember which ones.

I have no idea, what are you trying to work out?
I have a Mk2 Escort Steering rack and you have a Mk2 Escort steering rack so they will be the same thread won't they?

Hi David,
What I was asking is the thread normal (corse) or fine thread.... Reason is I already have the track rod ends and they fit my hubs, if the RS2000 ones
didn't fit, I could go and switch to mine.
Looking at the website, I think the rack is the same as mine. Is it the 2.9 turns, is that standard?
Also, are the extensions steel? I have already got some and again nice to have spares.
I will get in touch tomorrow when I have been in the garage and had a look.

Looking at the thread I think it is coarse, the extensions are steel and supplied by Rally Design.

I am 90% certain the RS2000 track rods do fit Cortina uprights, from memory anyway
The Escort rack is standard and 2.9 turns
