Free to Good Home: MGB Roadster, RBL 526M, wire wheels, SORNed for 10 years, complete car & documentation, but needs a rebuild/reshell. Should be

Hate to wee on your chips, but it will never be tax exempt under the current scheme. Only cars built Pre '73 are eligible.

It'll be tax exempt as of April 2014 as announced at the budget on 20 Mar 2013 - chips without wee thanks

Sorry to hijack the thread but will it be a rolling 40 year tax exemption or have they just moved it forwards one year ?
Our mini is s 1976 so I hope its a rolling plan, 2 years until tax free maybe ?

Thats hardly generous, it moves 1 year - 17 years after they changed their minds :-(

They didn't change their minds - the Tories announced it in 94 (as a rolling exemption), then Labour won the election in 97 and froze it at Jan
1973.
