Lightweight Single Axle Trailer - for locost
As the title suggests, i have for sale 1 x lightweight galvanized steel single axle trailer, built specifically for a locost.
It's only been used a handful of times, and I'm unfortunately selling as i don't have the space to store it. I purchased the trailer
along with my car, and used it to tow the car back from Glasgow to Surrey. The trailer was fantastic all the way.
It is built to take a max outer wheel to wheel car width of 163cm, and has a total bed length of 236cm. This will fit nearly all locost builds
perfectly as it does with mine.
It also comes with a set of 4 brand new car straps to secure your car onto the trailer. It has 2 nearly new tyres, and also a spare wheel.
Full 7 Pin towing electrics.
All in it's a super trailer that's nice and light, in really excellent nearly new condition, and perfect for locost towing.
I'd like £750 all in for this and it's ready to go whenever you can collect............
Cheers

Hi,
Correct - it was built using a caravan chassis i believe, so it's nice and light. Solid as a rock at 70mph for my 7hr journey back from Glasgow
at the weekend too. It's very well built in my opinion.
It was built by SDH2903 from this forum - Steve. Someone mentioned there may be a build thread somewhere on here but i can't find it. I know
there is a load more pictures in Steve's profile images.
I'm around this weekend if anyone wants a look/to buy

Measurement updates......
I've just been out and taken some more measurements of the trailer if anyone is interested:
total trailer length - 487cm
total trailer width - 210cm
minimum tyre width inner to inner to fit the bed - 100cm (pretty sure no cars have a wheel width of under 1m!!)
cheers

I'm sure you mean 60mph which is the legal limit for anyone towing a trailer on UK roads
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
