Scammell pioneer
i know this isn't really the place to be selling this but thought seeing as there's a wide variety of people using the forum somebody
might be interested in it or know somebody who will be .
i don't know a great deal about it as my step dad who owns it lost a lot of his memory in a nasty crash but my mum tells me its a 6x4 8 liter 12
ton scammell pioneer
it has a mobile crane and a fully working winch .
it starts first time every time and has just had 2 new 12volt batteries
reason for selling it ..step dad is 72 and cant get in or out of it and when he is in it he hasn't got the strength to turn the steering wheel
lol
£7000 ono
cheers
mogs

very good off road - have what is called a travelling rear axle - in action here.

note that the top speed on road will not be more than 50 mph and some had no front brakes!!
or is it walking beam axles - here is one that is no worky
or fit tracks

Nice
Have you heard of milweb.net? Good place to sell military vehicles
The mental gymnastics a landlord will employ to justify immoral actions is clinically fascinating. Just because something is legal doesn't make
it moral.

cheers benzine i'll have a look .
step dad used to own this
fire engine
and decided to sell it but it was parked in the back of the shed and the brakes had seized on so i backed the scammell up and towed it out on
tickover. it sure is a beast .
they used to drive the scammell to shows and stuff and with a top speed of 25mph it used to take for ever just to get out of the town ... not sure on
the mpg but im glad i didnt pay for the fuel

A friend of mine used to run one as a recovery truck, I think it's more gpm than mpg A local salvage yard called Geeson's took it off
his hands for a decent price.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Excellent pics
I used to drive the Explorer the slightly newer model to the Poineer when I was in the TA years ago.
We once drove seven of our trucks into a rural filling station for petrol, yes they were petrol.
Ours had twin 120 gallon tanks, the filling station closed early that day , they ran out of petrol ..
good luck with the sale, a bit of classic off roader.

looks like the most comfortable off road vehicle ever.
My old defender 90 would go anywhere you pointed it, but it was quite uncomfortable.
