Sylva Striker Mk II

£2500!!! Or VERY near offer!!!

Lots more pics available by email.

Thank you for looking at my advert for this road registered Sylva Striker Mk II –arguably the best handling Seven type car there is.

Complete with V5 Logbook – I am told these sell for over £500 on the black market!!

This car needs a little work to finish it, so will suit a mechanic, engineer, kit car enthusiast, or competent home mechanic. But for someone who can complete it [which won’t be too difficult to be honest!], they will get themselves a REAL BARGAIN!!!

With 155bhp and weighing only approx 530kg, this car has a power to weight ratio approaching 300bhp/tonne!

Great for a cheap introduction to trackdays, this car also comes with a V5 Logbook, correctly registered as a Sylva Striker on a Q plate, so you can have some fun on the roads as well!!!! NO NEED TO PUT THIS VEHICLE THROUGH THE NIGHTMARE SVA TEST!!!

Main Specification:
· 1800cc Zetec with Weber Alpha ignition and twin 40 DCOE Weber carbs. Rolling road print out for 155bhp. The engine can be seen and heard running.

· Oil cooler.

· Type E 4 speed gearbox. This is a Quaife Rocket ‘box. Very strong and 10kg lighter than a type 9!

· English axle.

· Spax suspension.

· Recent new wiring loom.

· Full race roll cage.

· 4 point race harnesses for driver and passenger.

· Race seat for driver.

· Custom made aluminium fuel tank. Standard fuel tank also included.

· Close ratio steering rack – 2.2 [?] turns lock to lock.

· Adjustable camber AND castor.

· Stainless steel re-packable silencer.

· Sold with tonneau covers for passenger compartment and “boot.”

· Sits on 13” x 6” Ford 4 spoke alloys, with Yokohama A032 track tyres [road legal].

· Wilwood adjustable brake bias.

Unfinished work:
· Rev counter/speedo to be fitted [not supplied].

· Suspension alignment needs doing.

· Exhaust manifold is included in the sale but needs modifying & fitting.

· Exhaust silencer is included in the sale, but needs fitting.

· Driver’s seat is included in the sale but needs fitting.

· Fuel tank is included in the sale, but needs fitting.

· Dashboard is present and mostly wired up, but needs final positioning.

· Front brake calipers need fitting – supplied with car.

· Front brake pipes needed – some aeroquip bits are available.

REMEMBER – this car does not need an SVA test – just take it for an MOT and off you go.

This specification and list of unfinished work is NOT definitive. You are more than welcome to view the car in order to assess what work needs doing.

I have described it as best as I can and in good faith, but there is bound to be some stuff which I have forgotten!!!

COME AND HAVE A LOOK AT IT and make me a sensible offer! [No silly offers though please!]

You will need to trailer the car home. Afraid I don’t have a trailer, so can’t assist with this!

Payment is either by bank transfer [funds to have reached my account prior to collection] or cash on collection.

Any questions, please call me on 07951 087 233. Rescued attachment P270209_09.03.JPG

On a better day, I would be sending a U2U right now saying consider it sold.

£2,500 ???

I take it you're giving your children and all small pets away too.

Oh, you did that for sure.

Wonder if I could squeeze £1,500 quid out of the Zilmobile once it's finished.

I am rather intrigued as to how it has a V5 and yet needs the work it does, has THIS car ever been through SVA? or has it got the same VIN as another car that has been through SVA?

The car was registered and road legal before SVA came in. It hasn't been used on the road for a long time and I was transferring bits from my old [crashed] racing car into it.

THIS car hasn't been SVA'd - it doesn't need to be.

On the V5 it says Sylva Striker and the chassis number is correct.

However, redundancy has changed my plans.......

Hope that explains it all!

Sorry mate, this is a genuine sale of a genuine car. I need the cash.

The car [once completed] is ready for MOT and can go straight on the road.

If it looks too good to be true, that's because I have made an error in underpricing it!

Shall I scrap this thread and start a new one with the price at £3500?? Would everyone be happy then?

I'll just wait until Chris comes to buy it tomorrow, take his cash, shake his hand and wave the car [a rather sad] goodbye.
