rear diffuser question

got a mk indy zx9r. had a couple of others bec's also, and at high'ish speed they seem abit all over the place would a rear diffuser make it more stable?

what do you mean by all over the place? could be tracking issues?

Yes it should, the one I made for mine has made a big difference...

no not tracking issues, just like the wind/air is catching it and making it abit twitchy. my other 2 was exactly the same just woundered if the diffuser would help it thats all. as some say the rear differential area acts like a parashute

combination of splitter and diffuser will help on a car with a fully flat underbody,..

worth experimentation, especially as it is locost and simple to try,..

cheers, i might put a floor in engine bay next week then and knock a rear diffuser up. dont no what to do for a front splitter?

Just a note, I fitted one and noticed that the tunnel was getting very hot. This was because i had bolted the diffuser directly to the bottom of car. Made some 1" bosses and dropped it so there is now a gap, tunnel now back to normal and can notice a difference.

Care to elaborate?
You forfeited an inch of ground clearance and that solved your problem - is that because you created a 1-inch air gap to let air in (hindering the aerodynamic benefits of the diffuser in the first place) or you just distanced the diffuser from the heat source?
And what was the heat source? Gearbox? Diff?
Just trying to learn what's going on under there.

I took inspiration from sa fabrications diffuser.

Made a cardboard template, gave it to my local sheet metal place who supplied, cut and bent the diffuser into shape for Ł36, then Ł15 to get powdercoated.
