House in France
MikeCapon - 31/5/08 at 04:28 PM

Now I know that more than a few of you have been talking about buying houses in France. Well, here's your chance. I'm selling up to come back to England for a while. In the Rhone valley between Lyon and Geneva (the postcode is 01680 if you want to see where that is) at 450 metres (around 1500 feet) altitude and the hill you can see behind is over 3200 feet.

The whole house has been renovated. Electrics, plumbing, oil fired central heating, insulation. All new.....

Lovely part of France with good wine being made almost next door. Less than an hour from the nearest ski slopes.

There are some other photos in my archive in the bizarely named folder "house". Looking for 200,000€

U2U or mail me at mike(dot)capon(at)orange(dot)fr

Nice house. I'll swap you it for one in The Philippines. 3 bed detatched bungalow, lots of banana plants, a mango tree and a goat, two hundred miles north of Manila and half a mile from a Proton factory. No central-heating but then again u'll never need it.

Hi Mike,

The place looks superb and in such a nice part of France.

I should think you have some very mixed feelings coming back to the UK.

Hi John,

You're right, it is a nice place to live. And I have got mixed feelings about coming back. Having said that it's only supposed to be for a couple of years or so and will do my family's English skills a bit of good.

Hi Fozzie,

Thanks for the kind words. Please don't ask me if I'm really, really sure because I'm not! Having said that if we all wait to be 100% sure beforehand we'd not get much done! We'll see.

Cheers,

Mike
