Cam belt went on my girlfriend's Escort. We've taken cylinder head off, no visible damage to pistons, some bent valves, cam shaft broken.

Serviced one month ago, new clutch 3000 miles ago, new brake cylinders and shoes on back 1000 miles ago.

The car has only covered 48,000 miles from new, one previous owner (little old lady, no, really) (Her husband worked on the original GT40, really, really!)

We have no time to fix it (see Aeon Epona thread!) but too good to scrap.

Ideal first car/ run about. Does 50 odd to gallon! Insurance group 9.
