FS: Cosworth V6 Engine
MakeEverything - 16/7/10 at 10:23 AM

I need to sell the cosworth V6 to focus my attention on the project in hand. I really wanted to fit it at a later date but i dont have the space to keep it much longer.

Engine is a 90,000 mile engine which i am told had no rattles when i bought it. I still have the inlet manifold, exhaust manifolds, some wiring, ECU, EDIS6 and coil pack (x2).

I have two sets of R6 throttle bodies which i was going to put on the engine, and am selling these too for £100 a set though one set has been stripped down.

I am after £300 for the engine.

Can the BOB-variant claim to be a 'cosworth' engine?

Is it not a bit like referring to non-coscast headed red-tops as Cosworth engines?

It is a cosworth engine. It has a cosworth crank, rods, pistons, head and valvetrain, and cams.

So, no, but then i didnt name it.

My mistake...

I knew that the original BOA was made in Wellinborough by Cosworth, but I'd always thought that the BOB variant was made exclusively by Ford using components machined by them in-house, but based on the original Cosworth design.

Me bad!
