Make the most of the 2010 summer with this superb, well built, fast tiger Avon
The car started life as a pure road car and for 2009 it was upgraded to also be used on the track. The car handles amazingly and drives great with an
almost new 2ltr ford zetec black top engine running (around 5 hours use) on carburettors (WEBER 45’s).
She’s producing just under 180 bhp and is limited to 6500 rpm by its WEBER ALPHA so its in great condition.
It comes with removable rear wheel arches making the car look great whilst being easy to customise or repair if required.
The car also has;
- a very recently reconditioned type 9 gearbox,
- HI SPEC 4 pot front brake callipers with vented brake discs,
- HI SPEC ultralite rear brake callipers and discs,
- RACELINE racing sump,
- aluminium oil catch tank,
- aluminium TIGER race spec radiator,
- SAMCO hoses,
- lightened flywheel,
- racing battery,
- FIA cut off switch,
- race transponder,
- plumbed fire extinguisher,
- small led front lights,
- SPAX fully adjustable shocks,
- brand new ball joints,
- OBP ultralite top mounted pedal box,
- t200 lap timer,
- full “CAGED” race spec roll cage,
- FIA led rain light,
- LUKE 4 point harness and light weight seat for track use
- Ally tunnel top cover
- Ally fuel tank cover
- two separate seats for when she is on the road.
The car is running on TOYO r888 tyres with two sets of alloys.
The above details parts that have been purchased in 2009 and therefore done less than 10 hours of road/track time with oil in engine and gearbox
having been changed after every other race weekend with LUCAS oil combined with synthesiser.
The car was maintained by a professional outfit throughout 2009.
In addition I am including a full bullet camera unit including mount, camera and small viewing/recording screen that stores to SD card.
The car is currently SORN but ready for its MOT and TAX.
The reason for sale is that I am looking at buying a house and simply cannot afford to keep her, regrettably!
As you can see the car has a huge amount of improvements from standard, all purchased from the best companies making this car an absolutely great buy
for someone. The car is ready to blast along country lanes, or race around Silverstone today.
The car is for sale for £7495 ono.
If you have any questions or if you would like to view the car please call me on 07961 871114, or email me on ryan.slaney@hotmail.com.
The car also comes with a good spares package including-
4 spare alloys with r888 tyres
Spare exhaust and heat shield
Front and rear anti roll bars
Rear rollover bar (if you choose to remove cage)
Steering rack (upgraded for a quick rack)
Braked single axle trailer also available for an additional £500 if required.

Lovely looking car and nice spec
I think it would help you sell it if you popped an MOT on it and put the price and your location.
Saw it - £7495 (phew)
might help to resize the pic too.
thanks FFTS- It has taken alot of money and time to get her to the spec that she is at.
Sorry guys- I am based in Birmingham and viewing can be at any time before 8pm in a well lit warehouse. The car is for sale for £7495.
I am looking at popping an MOT on her when I find the time. This may affect the price
Hi,
how did you make the rear arches removeable? Do you have a pics of them. Would like to do the same to my Avon.
Andy
Mac/ Viatron (forum name) has a mate that made a few sets for some of the Tiger racers.
Simply cut the old arches off with fibre glass cutter leaving around an inch, sand down and fit the new ones on top of the bodywork stub. (sorry no
pics)
Then attach them with plastic fixings so that if any contact should arise, the wing will come off instead of half of the bodywork falling apart.
Viatron may be able to sort you some out if you ask him nicely.
Around the £100 mark if i recall correctly. (dont quote me tho)
Looks loads better in my opinion and way more practical.
sold
someone got a good deal
