Smart car for sale
mangogrooveworkshop - 19/2/09 at 01:54 PM

Due to the wife using the Clio for parent taxi duties I have been asked to find a home for the SMARTIE.
Our fleet consists of three two seater cars when the seven comes on stream shortly.
This problem has been brought on by the return of the young pup....with the husband in tow........apparently they now know utility's cost money.

Super clean PURE in lipstick red with a blue interior. Its in standard unmolested condition with factory mags. It will be given a fresh MOT with the sale.
£2200 cash deal Will deliver anywhere in the UK

I am interested, but you live in fife ...

Why should FIFE scare you.......

It cost 16 quid a tank when we drove up from Portsmouth and that has risen to 20 quid to brim. Liz used it till she was credit crunched working for a building firm end of last year. I gave here the Clio to use to prove it for the continental rally this summer. Dam kids have moved back in so the Clio is getting the mums taxi treatment. No problems to speak of.
In fact this is one car Im sad to have to part with but the seven and the pick up all have two seats as well. I have a sports exhaust I can throw in and you could remap for very little money. I left it all standard as its a great car for local and medium distances.

Are smarts typically expensive to service? What model/engine is it?

Sorry for the questions

Its very like a bec with a roof and all that.
As for the steering wheel never noticed the difference.

I would do a bec version but this ones to good for that caper

Its a pure and the engine is a turbo 600cc.

Smart main stealer is just daft. But the independent guys are just the same as other small cars.
If you can swing a spanner you can service a smart. I have the dealer plug tool and the oil pele pump. Its had all it brakes done with new hand brake cables done by my mac in October.

Plugs and filters are available from Partco and the correct oil.
Ebay is a good place for independent spares.
