For sale: New Sylva Fisher Fury Classic Bonnet
McLannahan - 19/1/09 at 07:23 PM

Hi - I ordered this back before Xmas. It remains in the wrapping it came from and in new unused condition.

It's in RAL 6033 (Mint Turquoise) and it's a classic with a big bulge.

It's not cut at all, not a single thing. In the same condition it arrived in!

The only reason I'm selling it is that I did order a classic originally but then changed my mind. Didn't pass that on clearly though and a classic was made! I've now come to the conclusion that I would prefer the LeMans style (I know opinions are mixed!) so I'm selling this!

Ideally I'd like £250 to help pay towards the LeMans....

Thanks all

Edited to add my location - Near Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Her spirits were raised when I said I was moving the bonnet from the conservatory - smile fell when it moved into the lounge!

Thanks all

Michael

I think you have excellent taste wanting a le Mans style bonnet, but I'm biased!

Have you worked out who can supply the headlight covers for these bonnets (?) as I could do with sourcing a couple for when I get a re-spray early spring!

Thanks

Harvey

Hi Harvey - There was quite a discussion on Sylva chat about light pod covers for the classic bonnet as you probably remember but I don't think anything came of it!

That would have made a big difference to be honest and I'd like to move the indicator into the light pod/cluster too to tidy the front up.

I'm sure someone could knock come covers up. Spoke to BGH about the ones for the LeMans and they get them routed out but even they're not that happy with the quality.

Would be good to learn who makes the covers for them!

According to my latest (10/08) BGH pricelist they're £29.79 + VAT each for the LeMans covers. (£68.50 pair INC)

Sorry chaps, this sold quite a while ago now. Forgot to update the advert!

I could've been interested if it was red as a spare at that price

Going off topic I know but I saw the discussion too about the light covers for classic bonnets (far better than the Lemans with its lights too far pushed up and back - virtually in line with the centre of the front wheels ).

Did this get anywhere as I would be interested too...

It didn't really! Loads of interest for them from fellow classic bonnet owners but no joy. Not a great time to look around for tooling places either now!

I'm still trying to get the lemans covers out of BGH....Much longer and I'll by buying back the damn classic I sold!!

I do have one hopeful lead however but I'm awaiting a call back. Will drop you a U2 if it amounts to anything Hobbsy.
