Got home saturday afternoon, and have been working on the car a fair bit.
Got a rear under tray/panel made (forgot to take a photo unfortunately - will take one tomorrow). Makes the back of the car look a lot neater I
think.
Had the car up on ramps (clutch defo OK!) and changed the engine mount rubbers to landy ones. Much better now than the fiesta ones!
Made a cover for my sterring column. Decided to fold one up in the end. Fairly happy with the end result
Fitted the rev limiter, dont know if it works yet though...
Fitted the new springs this morning (right PITA)
Changed the cooling layout, and used copper pipe down the side of the block. Could do with painting, but will do for now.
Started making the boot cover as well. Just needs fixing in and the centre part making in the morning.
Also drilled the rivet holes to hold the side panels in properly at the front.
All in all a productive couple of days I think.
Heres some pics:

Looking good flak, noticed the 't' piece in the fuel hose.Had nothing but probs with one of them in a rs2000 (2.1 twin 45's etc)It used
to be ok when driving normally but when driven hard i used to get fuel starvation. When i took it to thorney island (1/4 mile summer show) had nothing
but probs all day,ok off the line-but 3/4of the way up the track fuel starvation.local webber expert (solent race+rally) located prob.
This is what solved it =
Fuel thing linky
Fitted the rev limiter, dont know if it works yet though...
LOL.... I wouldn't bother testing it quite yet mate as you know who wont be impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Water pipes look so much better.
Roll on SVA!
Just sorted a place for you to park at mine
jesus dave you have been busy, i see what you mean now by how forward your engine and gearbox are, might cause a bit of understeer? i filled in my sva
forms today and i will be sending them off tomorrow!! woo woo.
i have been pretty busy myself, as well as celebrating my birthday on saturday. i managed to do quite a bit myself,
1)Calibrated speedo again!
2)Got tunnel in
3)Harnesses fully in
4)All the wiring behind the dash is finished
5)rerouted my coolent hoses down the side of the block as well, under the exhaust, using reinforced stainless hosing!
and finally,
span the back end out when i took it out for a spin (literally) missed a telegraph pole by about 6 inches

Looking good mate, i really am gonna have to get my arse into gear!
NICE WORK!!! Looks awesome!
Sorry...didn't mean to shout! But I love the car - now I know what colour to go with. Fantastic yellow, that...
you certainly been busy flak. I had better pull my finger out !
VERY NICE
Hey Flac, looking very nice dude,
Have you done something to the front springs only in an earlier picture they looked like they had been wound up a lot more than they are now?
It is looking really good.
Gosforth would fail the gear lever believe it or not. I know this sounds daft (not my words) but they dont like the cap heads on the top. I fitted std
sierra so was OK. Other stations may not be as fussy.
Thanks chaps
I do have a proper banjo to fit the carb now. But then I have a pair of 45s to go on after SVA anyway to replace the 40s so will swap them then.
Scot, I have fitted longer and higher poundage front springs since the last pics. Seems much better now.
I had better look out a std sierra gearknob then. Trip to the scrappy later by the looks of it.
Should have some SVA photos later...
