4 Point Harness Selection and IVA Compliance
Can anyone advise if there is anything I need to consider when selecting harnesses for my kit car build ensuring the IVA inspection police are kept
happy
Thanks in advance

That you are able to reach all controls when strapped in...
Beware of what you wish.. for it may come true....

My understanding is that you have to be able to adjust them whilst in the seat. I bought some from Car Builder Solutions which said they were
'IVA OK', but there is no way on earth I can tighten the lap belts whilst I am in the seat due to how cramped it is.
But Angel has made a good point, which I did not consider fully when I first setup my driving position - I would have struggled to reach the dash (and
the switches on it) when fully strapped in!

The style of belt that have the lap belt adjusters on the buckle end, rather than on the attachment end, are much more convenient in a 7.

You can do it quickly. You can do it cheap. You can do it right. – Pick any two.

As Fred said you need pull down adjustment for the shoulders and pull up adjustment for the lap straps.
Thia is mine just before it passed IVA.
