Seat mounting
Evening,
I'm at the stage where I want to weld in some additional bracing in my chassis where the seats mount. I don't fancy having the runners
mounted straight on the alloy floor. Trouble is, I don't know what seats I want, so don't have the runners, so don't know the
spacing a for the supports. I want to do weld them in now as I won't be able to fully weld once the floor is on.
Does anyone have any recommendations on runner support positions or universal runners that will work with whatever seat I end up with?
Cheers
Jon

I've just done this very thing - I will put up some pictures tomorrow.
I'm going with GRP seats and twin locking seat runners.

I wanted to do the same but in the end had to get the seat and subframe to determine the position of the rails.
You could do it if you decide what seats you are going to use and get the dimensions from someone who has already used the same ones

Here's what I've done -
Welded some box section across for the runners to pick up on:

and this is how the runners are going to position

That's excellent thanks for putting the pictures up. It's pretty much what I had in mind.
Guess I'm in the market for seats and runners now!
