Hi
I have a passenger footrest to fit, but as for the positioning we cant decide what is best, legs bent or straight, i think straight would be better
but it looks as if there would have to be a lot of material removed from the foot rest to allow it to fit.
Can you post a picture of where its fitted along with a rough dimension, and any details of what had to be done to make the bloody thing fit
square!
Its like the one in the pic below:
Cheers Mike

I went my own way and mounted it so that the passenger's legs are slightly bent - although this obviously depends on his / her height.

The passenger will want it so that they can brace themselves/ There's not normally a lot to hold on to. Did some passenger laps in a se7en with no foot rest - you fly around like Rag Doll Annie.
I would fit it with the passengers legs very slightly bent so they can brace/push back into the seat if need be.
I fitted this toolbox /footrest in mine.

That looks pretty handy Dave, did you make it or can you buy them somewhere?
Slightly bent again Mike!
and as for fitting it square etc, then if you are unsure about the amount of material to cut out, just make the same shape out of cardboard and try
and fit that! Removing material from it as you go, then when it fits (straight) place your new template back over the footrest, mark out and
trim...

Id go slightly bent. Its acually abit more comfy and u can push against it if you need to to stop you crapping yourself...

Another bent vote. I did the Lotus driver training day the other week and fast laps in a 111r next to the Lotus cheif test driver required legs bent a bit!
Howlor, fingers crossed, eyes half shut and buttocks clenched I should think??? Cheers, Pewe
Legs bent from me and just velcro it in so you can you move it about. It doesnt sound enough but thats all that holds the one in an Elise
Made it from ally leftovers!
