Hi

We have just started work on the dash for the Indy and was wondering what is the best way to secure the blade clocks. If anyone has any pics of how they have secured bike clocks to the dash, it would be very useful to get some ideas from. At the moment we are thinking of bonding a bracket to hold them to the dash but any ideas would be very useful.

Thanks in advance

Ed

Not really bike clocks but the Evodash is pretty close... Rescued attachment dash1.jpg

I made a rough shape from high density foam and put a thin skin of fibreglass around it... Rescued attachment dash2.jpg

...and made an ally bracket to support it and bonded it to the back of the fibregalss panel with 'no nails' ... voila! Not too shabby The blue paint is high build primer which will be flatted out to achieve a good finish, ready for covering with Alcantara.

Here's a picture of how we did it on the Blade. Picture obviously shows reverse side of dash.

Have a look in our Build diary - February section. It describes in detail how we achieved it. May give you some ideas.

How do you calibrate the blade speedo to the sierra diff ?

Cheers Mark

Thanks for the replies guys, some very useful tips there. Both examples look nice and professional. To get the bike clocks to work with the sierra diff you have to use a speedo healer or similar which recalibrates the output from the speedo sensor on the side of the engine which then goes to the clocks.
