New Dash
chrisf - 6/2/06 at 02:48 PM

I followed Hellfire's lead and remade my dash in 16ga 6061 aluminum.

Here are the before.

Here are the after.

What do you think (SVA rules need not apply)?

Noticed the chopper.

"I especially like the diamond plate aluminum seat; it looks the business."

Now it might just be me being a soft brit, but when I think seat, diamond plate isn't the thought that jumps into my mind as a material of choice.

Not a route 66 option I'd have thought Seems to be nicely fabricated though.

Sun reflection will be a huge problem. But all my aluminum panels will be powder coated flat black crinkcle coat.

About the bike...though he's offered many times, I've never ridden the bike. The owner says the new seat is much better than the old because it keeps him in place better. There is no rear suspention on the bike, so I imagine it is not a long distance cruiser.
