View on these wheels
After a cheap set of wheels an tyres to get me through my build. Struggling to find anything local ish with a style that will be ok for my build and
first year of running.
have seen these standard ford 15" with track day tyres dunlop direnzas.
Would these look ok? Anyone got a picture of a locost with these on?
Oh and last time I posted a link other people bought the stuff before me
So let me have first dibs, I've already made an offer on them.
Thanks
Mike

If they have decent tyres and you like the look of them then go for them. Ok they may have a Ford badge which isn't ideal but silver ali paint
can soon sort that out!!
I wouldnt worry so much about what others think (but actually quite like the style) if they fit and do the job. Personally i'd be keeping them
for trackdays longer term as well, and get some fancy wheels for road use

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I quite like them actually
Wheels example
Please note I only quickly scaled the wheels so they probably aren't spot on.

Funny you should ask what they look like, my car is not on the road yet, but, I have a set of those for my car. I don't think they are a bad
choice, being seven spoke wheels on a seven(esque) car. Besides you could either polish them, or paint them. As for the badge in the middle it would
not take toooo much effort to get it out of the recess and let in a badge of your own design.

good work on the scanning!
Do you think your scale is on the large side? , it would be good if they look that big on the car!
If I can get them for an ok price I'll go with it!
Any more pics!

I agree that the wheels in my photoshop'ed image do look like 17's. Having gone back and had a look at the cars spec in the pic it was
running 14's and i just shrunk your wheel pic to fit in the same....although this was done it haste.
If i find some time later (allegedly supposed to be working at the mo) and I can find a suitable pic of a locost running 15's then i will have
another go

Cant help with a pic of one fitted, but I have seen one with these wheels on and I have to say I quite liked it! They'd done something with the
centre caps - made a sort of cone shape out of fibre glass and it made them really very appealing.
Edited to add word "fibre" without which it didn't make much sense...

Here you go (bored at work)
Wheels example 2
Provided the specs of the car that I 'borrowed' this image from are correct then this should be a bit more realistic scale wise. Still
think they look pretty good.

I did see a yellow Seven at the Stafford show that was riding on those wheels. I still think they are good.
