I havnt made my own but if you are looking for a small one, the one from my donor is really small (but long - could be shortened)

made my falcons one out a bit of bent rod and a plate of metal with a vw beetle rubber pad. Loading is so low little else is needed, plus in a crash
you want the pedal to be easily bent since your foot will likely be on it (had plenty off crashes and only once managed to get my foot on the brakes,
not that it helped)
Fame is when your old car is plastered all over the internet
