Wheel lacquer bubbling - repairable?

I've got the opportunity to buy 4 wheels like this one with decent part worn tyres. They look OK over most of the wheel finish except for some fairly major bubbling on the inside of the rims/spokes. Given the rest of the metal is OK, how feasible would it be to rub down the bubbles, silver spray the patches if necessary and put a bit of lacquer on top? (PS, looking for a locost approach )

a) easy peasy and would look OK-ish, at least from a distance

b) easy but crap finish

c) forget it and get the whole wheel redone

Thoughts please, chaps

Cheers,

is it just paint/laquer flaking off or has the sruface of the alloy pitted too, as it wuld if not protected?

anythjing can be done given enough time an money - just depends on how much timemoney you want to spend nad how good a finish you want, the better the finish the more time and money you need to spend.

you may have fun matching the silver colour - you'd be surprised how many variations of silver there are.

if the spokes were not flakey, you could have painted the inner rim a different colour altogether.

sand it down and use first an etch primer than a high build filler primer. Let each thick coat dry in the house (too cold for paint right now) for a day. Then use wet and dry to make it smooth, just lots of time really

It has happened because there is a sharp edge at the back of the spokes, round this off, clean out all the corrosion, stopper up, etch prime (buy an aerosol from a bodyshop factors - its easier). Use 1K polyester basecoat and top with 1K clearcoat. All the above can be bought in aerosols if you don't have a compressor.
