What donor is this upright from (UPDATED WITH NEW PIC)?
Its a Fisher Fury, AFAIK they are all Mk2 Escort - this is not my car, I nabbed the pic from their build site. But mine do look the same, complete
with the "geometry alteration" modification on the top part
Need to know so I can order the right brackets on this Wilwood group buy.
And yes I would have a better idea if I'd built the car myself but I didn't - I cheated and let someone else pay for Fisher to build it then
bought it off them

i STILL say sierra
don't mk2 escorts have a seperate stub axle to the hub? sort of like a cortina but not?
that has a blanking cap for the bearing recess because the hub nut is accessed from the back on sierra uprights.

On Rob Collingridge's Fury build site he says:
# Ford Escort mk II front uprights (modified by Fisher Sportscars)
(found here: http://www.robcollingridge.com/kitcar/index.html)
But thats not to say the ones in the photo aren't Sierra ones.
I'll get a photo of mine tonight and post it as it what uprights are on MY car that matters.
I tried to ring Fishers new owners but they are out today...

From the Fisher build manual...
"NOTE: Some customers now fit FORD SIERRA front uprights and steering columns complete with the much more modern stalk/switchgear"
Best break out the dig cam then

Right here we go here's my upright...
Suspiciously similar to the one from the Fury build site
Still Sierra?
Aren't these quite a bit heavier than MK2 Escort then. So more benefit of going to ally uprights? Although the geometry would be off as these
have been modified by Fisher?
So it looks like its the Sierra mounting brackets I need for my Wilwood brake kit?
Good job I checked as I'd convinced myself they were MK2 Escort (eek!)

The top mushroom looks a bit of a bodge , possibly to get over having to make shorter top bones or rocker arm?

Sierra Cosworth?I know they are different to the standard Sierra in that the bottom joint has a pinch bolt.
Also IIRC the Sierra disc fits on the wheel side of the hub whereas the Escort and Cortina fit inside the hub.
