Cant get my shaft in!
sierra alf sharfts right...
 
Description
I cant get the splined bit fully in, when i ripped it out the donor i seem to remember it being bout half inch - inch furthr in. Any body else get
this problem or should one just lube up and apply man force?

is the ring clip jammed, don't force it. Take it out and double check. Really you are meant to change the clip as they deform once released.
looks about as far in as I remember it went. Have a look at someones archive pics.

It will go in till it meets the oil seal.
Mine went in quite easily but it does need a little jiggling. No excessive force should be required though.

Looks about right to me - have you got a piccy from directly above?
Can you get the rear upright/hub/brake assembly together OK? If so then it's far enough in.
