do you really need to sand down the uprights for avon?
Hi,
I fittered my uprights, brake plates on last weekend without sanding the uprights down, as shown in this photo? do you really need to do this? mine
seem to fit okay?

obviously it will depend on the brake setup wich is choosen on the rear.
maybe its for wilwoods nececary but not for standard sierra.

Have you tried fitting the back plate?
I think it was the opposite corners that needed grinding off.
Why would you need to sand them down?

Think it depends upon what donor the rear brakes came off. I can't remember whether my drums were the larger or smaller sierra ones, but I
didn't have to grind anything off. If yours appear to fit with no fouling, go for it.....

I made a upright and had to grind them.
It's is that the back-plate for drum-brakes don't fit.
