top shock mounts

Hi everyone.

I have been looking at my top shock mounts, how do you have yours mounted ? on the side of the top rail or the bottom of the top rail.
If I mount the shock on the side I can get less angle on the shock , which I believe is better .
If I have it on the side I think it would not be as strong as mounting on underside of the top rail.

Side. Strength is not an issue.

I did bottom as i was worried about introducing a twist in the shock by putting it on the side and not getting the mount parallel to the mount on the wishbone.

Side is better as the shock is more vertical and its how most people do it.

mine are on the bottom due to top bone clearance

Apparantly, the steeper the shock angle the better, so with your top bones, you should be able to get them on the sides.

I put mine on the bottom though and my car works fine and personanly, I think they look neater on the bottom.
