saved a few quid, my trailing arms.
Got bored on wednesday, and decided to make up some rose jointed(1/2" unf) trailing arms for my locost build. The first one came out pretty neat,
so carried on with the others.
- well chuffed .
They are 315mm between centers, upto +375mm possible.

What a cracking idea.
I currently have one or two problems with my trailing arms and these would be a perfect fix.
Must get some made.
I used to be apathetic but now I just don't care.

tube length
The tubes are 25.4mm (imperial in reality)x 3mm.
The lengths I cut were around 245-255mm and a welded in threaded bung (abouts 3-4mm potruding out the end) with the rose joints threaded in c/c =
315mm ish. With room to shorten or lengthen.

Don't like to take the shine of what is a lovely job but its not a good idea to rose joint both ends, best to have a bush at one end.
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion
retro car restoration and tuning

ACEsportscars sell the same trailing arms threaded for rosejoints both ends.
I see where you're comming from though..
But for me this has saved me a few £as I had lots of rose joints around, saves me buying bushes and jigging them.

Yep, hence my deliberately brief reply so as not to get into a long discussion where I get lost again!!!!!
Nothing to do with unscrewing, I hasten to add that is not a concern at all!

Have a look under the back of various recent-ish toyotas and you'll find the same type of thing, nice and light too.
I think Avensis and Corolla have them.
They are made for Toyota by a company in birmingham, ZF Lemforder.
