Sierra rear end ?
Sierra is a viscous coupled diff not an LSD.
The oil in the outer casing is just hypoid gear oil.
LSD oil has friction additive for plate type diffs as in the Jag rear axle.

I've used Redline lightweight shockproof oil. Smells gorgeous and cuts down on power loss. Only problem occurs if the diff is wearing, then you
get backlash....

Standard EP 80/90 to GL5 spec gear oil. I use Castrol EPX from Halfords.

LSDs need a special lubrication agent in the oil (to act between the friction plates) or whenever the LSD actually operates (i.e. slips under torque
loading) then the oil gets heated and mashed. You can use standard hypiod if you wish but if you don't change it regularly then you will
rapidly thin the oil and it will overheat and cause mucho problemo when you're on a long trash. Got the Ford part no. for the proper stuff
somewhere (will edit post later) and it ain't much more. I put a reconditioned diff on mine because of the torque I'll be getting so it
seemed daft to save a few quid in the wrong place...

If we're talking about the sierra LSD here, the viscous coupling is a sealed unit which does not share oil with the rest of the diff mech.
Putting additives in designed for plate/clutch type LSDs and/or changing the diff oil regularly wont make any difference!
