Tyre width req'd for 8 1/2" rims
As above - what tyres width would be recommended for use on an 8 1/2" rim?

205s squeeze, 215s are a bit tight, 225s nearly there, 235s sit perfect.
I would go for 225/50s are so, depending on wheel diameter.

Thanks for the input.
I should have said - they're 13's.
I've been trawling through the usual online tyre suppliers looking for some semi-slicks to put on them. Most manufacturers go up to 205 or 215,
but I can only find Conways in 235.
I'll keep digging for more options, but at the price Conways come for I can't really go wrong!
Thanks again.

let us know how you get on with it. Some people say that tyres that wide wont warm up properly and be slippier than narrower ones, be interesting to
see.

I'll let you know how it goes.
Wadders, you got any pictures of how they sit on the rims?
