Sierra Master Cylinder Thoughts

Seen as it's now impossible to get hold of a repair kit for these.

Is there any alternative or will the top one in this pic do as they work out at about £40 new.

It's the bottom one I've got (as have most).

The Bendix with 22.2mm bore and end pipe point up.

Cheers,

We got an overhaul kit from the local Ford Dealers about £16 I think, maybe less and it had everything in.

They may be worth a Try,

Archbolds
Church Street
Morley

A new one from the motor factors was as you say about £40 was gold and looked like it had been cast in Chocolate, shocking finish!

Yep - I've got one though, just want a service kit for it.

Will try that one in Morley tomorrow.

Mine has started leaking, so will need to fix rather soon!!

Won't bother repairing, just replace with new one

Switch to an early VW polo or Golf master cylinder --- dirt cheap brand new less than the cost of a repair kit but you have to get a resevoir from the scrappies.

It's just that my chassis has been designed to suit the Sierra one with the big hole just the right size and the mounting holes in just the right places.
