coil over angle

Hi, all having fun with a IRS setup at the moment wondering if its ok to have the coil over angled towards the front?

If no good I can move back and use the same bolt as the hub carrier?

Thanks Rescued attachment P5050044.JPG

coil over angle

It will be closer to the top wishbone then in the pic, I just wanted to show the angle of the coil over will be central from the bottom wishbone up.

And if it makes little different to the set-up that makes tomorrows job list a little shorter (not really)

I did the same thing, but used spherical bearings on my dampers instead of bushes. I think, over time, your bushes will give way because of the angle.

Spring Rates

The hot-rod guys used to make the top mounts adjustable as a simple means of altering spring rates.

The more upright the more direct the spring rate. Adding some incline to the spring reduces the effective rate of it so giving a softer ride.

Not sure how much difference your slight incline would make though!!
