Cortina axle rear brakes for info. Now with piccies

Just to let people know that are interested.

I have installed a set of Escort van shoes, adjusters etc on to my 9 inch cortina back plates. They appear to work well and all the bits are still available. Just need to drive it to make sure. The adjusters arnt cheap but you only need to buy them once.

The only thing i had to do was grind a bit of that adjuster to stop it hitting the plate.

I had to modify the adjuster slightly as the adjuter lobe hit the back plate. Chaved a bit off and no more touching.

have you fitted the drums on yet?

if you have trouble, then you need to bakc of the hadbrake adjusters -see my post about this for mk2 escort.

the way to do it is to tap with a hammer the pointed bit sticking out to the left of the black disc below the red spring in this picture.
