are there different types of sierra M/Cs?
just wondering if they are all the same, cos ive got a fella on ebay asking if mine will fit his! and servos too...

Yes, there's a cast one and a pressed one. You can tell by the finish of it. They have different fixing holes, can you post a pic?

Yep, as per Northy.
Thin black one is the pressed number and the more common cast one is (was) a gold colour.
Pat...

so there are black and gold ones? are we on about the servos here? cos my master cylinder was a regular metal colour.
cheers for the info fellas, i'll try to do a photo but i have no camera ATM so might be a problem

No, just the m/cyls.
Also, the bolt holes are laid out differently. On the black one the bolt holes are laid at about 30° to one another.

There are 3 types, 2 cast and one pressed. I don't know the difference between the 2 cast, but the pressed one gives the advantage that you can
just remove the servo and bolt the cylinder directly to the sierra pedal box without any further modification.
