Sierra handbrake cable to MK Indy

Hi,

Am I missing something, I cannot figure out how to get my handbrake cable into the chassis! The ends to hook onto the calipers are crimped on and the plastic screw bits to hold it in place will obviously not fit through the tubes just above the tunnel so I cannot thread it through. Am I being stupid. Picture below to try and illustrate, this is not my build but helps to show what i'm on about.

You have to cut the inner cable, then rejoin it using wire rope splicing clamps. I'll see if I can find a photo.
There you go.

I cut off one end and used a temporary repair end with grub screws in which I got from MK.

Other photos show how I cut back one of the handbrake outer cable ends to fix it through the chassis with a washer that I cut a slot out of.

Outer cable end - before

Outer cable end - after + washer

In position

Snap! See, boats aren't just a hole in the water you pour money into, after all.
