Willwood link pipes?
I am building up the front uprights on my Sylva J15 (basically Caterham/Triumph origin). I bought the Willwood Midlight and vented disc upgrade and I
have a few questions about the hydralic wiring.
 
Nipples upward
The Midlite has 4 bleed nipples, by their own documentation the lower two do nothing as the air migrates upwards. I assume this design is so the same
caliper can be used on both sides.
Questions:
1) The AP Racing caliper on my Westfield has a similar configuration.

Is it necessary to add this link pipe to my Willwoods?
2) I note the AP link pipe has a protective sleve, I assume to protect from any stones picked up and redirected at the brake pipe. Is this also a
requirement for IVA?
3) Is my sleved pipe as illustrated good choice? ( I can always return the bleed nipples).

Wilwood's have the lines internal to the calliper, so there's no need for an external pipe. Whilst I can see nothing wrong with having
that link pipe at the bottom of the calliper, equally, I can't see any benefit from having it. As you say, the 4 nipples are so they can make a
single calliper and use it for both sides.
