Stub axle info (drum and disk)

How do disk stubs interface with bearings?
I have just got some Disk shafts in the hope I can move over to Lobros but retain my drums, I dont want the hybrid route, I want both inner and outer lobros.
The drum brake stub shafts have a about 50mm smooth area which then turns to splines. The smooth area sits within the bearings. however the disk stubs have a splined finish accross their whole length, so where does the bearing sit?
Pics would be great if anyone has any.

The bearings run on the stub of the drive hub which slides onto the splines of the stub axle.

Ahh perfect, (well not perfect for me, but the explanation is!)
So i need disk hubs, but how on earth will they mate to the drums? Im sure someone said they had done this using lobro outers...!?

I have a Cosworth back end on mine with 10" drums from a xr4 thing.

I simply cut the caliper carrier lugs off the bearing housing and bolted them over the drums back plate just as you would do with a normal drum setup.

I think the issue with my setup is down to the fact my drums seem to have a differnt drive hub to others. I assume you used a disk hub and simply bolted your drums to the the hub?
